Welcome to Oddinary Farm

Oddinary Farm is a 2D top-down, arcade-style, multiplayer-enabled game that blends farming, base defense, and escape mechanics into one chaotic and charming adventure. By day, players grow crops, raise quirky animals, and explore a procedurally generated island filled with strange flora and fauna. By night, they must defend their farm from waves of alien invaders using pets, turrets, and teamwork. The ultimate goal? Gather enough coins to build a hot air balloon and escape before the island is swallowed by a rising flood. Each island introduces new biomes, odd creatures, and unique challenges, with unlockable pets and surprises awaiting those who survive. With its blend of action, strategy, and unpredictable moments, Oddinary Farm lives by one motto: "Life has its odd ways."

Known Bugs

Lobby invites might not work correctly when using lobbyID. Players need to join friends twice to see the lobby UI (Tentative fix in 0.3.7c)

Install instructions

[Important] This instruction has 2 parts: Bypass Window Security and Add to Steam

Part 1. Bypass Window Security

I, Khoa Nguyen, guarantee that this build has no virus

This build is not signed. On Windows 10 & 11, it will most likely be flagged as a virus once downloaded (Wacatac.B!ml trojan false positive). You should never trust an executable file, even if the author guarantees the safety of it.

The source for this build is available in the GitHub link below for preview.

Alternative: You can build the project yourself using Unity 6000.0.47f1 LTS with the instructions here (instruction TBA) https://github.com/colormak3r/Oddinary-Farm. The build will have no virus warning when built on the local machine.

Once you have downloaded the build. Window Security will delete the file. Please follow these steps to bypass it

1. Open Window Security (Settings > Privacy & Security > Window Security)

2. Open Protection History

3. Click Threat Blocked > Action > Allow

4. Redownload the build

Part 2. Add to Steam

To connect and play with your friend, you need to add the executable to Steam as a Non-Steam game

1. Extract the zip file to a desired folder

2. Log in to Steam

3. Go to your Library > Add a Game (at the bottom left of the window) > Add a Non-Steam Game

3. Click on Browse > Navigate to the extracted folder > Click on Oddinary Farm.exe

4. Launch the game

End.
